In Memoriam
Gary Coburn was CPT Group’s Director of Information Technology from 2014 to 2021. With over 15 years of experience in IT management, consultative selling, project leadership, and new technology introduction, Gary played a key role in advancing and building CPT’s case database system as well as preserving its infrastructure and security. Gary’s extensive IT experience and ability to clearly articulate even the most advanced technology to businesses and technical users made him a great asset to the company.
Beyond his work at CPT Group, Gary was a jack-of-all-trades. Not only was he a former member of the Portland Police Reserve Unit as a technology advisor but he was also a custom furniture maker, homebuilder (both for profit and Habitat for Humanity), amateur photographer and race car driver. With all the interests he kept, there was never a dull moment or conversation with Gary.
Gary held a master’s degree in business from Suffolk University and a bachelor’s degree in Technical Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology, both in Boston, MA.
